LEVANTE 2025 Call for Proposals

We are pleased to announce the 2025 Call for Proposals for the Learning Variability Network Exchange (LEVANTE), a global research initiative supported by the Jacobs Foundation.

Through LEVANTE, we are investing up to USD 5 million to support cutting-edge research into how children’s learning and development are shaped by individual differences, group dynamics, and diverse contextual factors.

We welcome proposals from research labs at institutions of higher education or research institutes worldwide. Projects should focus on typically developing children aged 5–12 and explore learning variability at the individual, group, or contextual levels.

This Call for Proposals places a particular emphasis on internationalisation, and we especially encourage applicants interested in implementing projects using LEVANTE measures in underrepresented regions or countries in the Global South. If you are planning to collect data in the Global South, please click here for more information.

Funding is available for both small-scale (up to USD 600,000) and large-scale (up to USD 1,000,000) research projects, with a minimum project duration of four years. The first stage application deadline is August 19, 2025.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing global network that is advancing science and shaping the future of education.
