The Universidad de La Rioja is pleased to announce that the XXXIV Meeting of the Economics of Education Association (AEDE 2026) will be held in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain, on the 8th-9th July of 2026.
We are pleased to inform you that this year the keynote speakers will be Annamaria Lusardi(Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research) and Eugenio González (Senior Research Director at the TIMSS and PIRLS International Study Center, Boston College).
Additionally, a free training course on Machine Learning will be offered to all conference attendees on Tuesday, July 7 in the afternoon. This course is organized as part of the AEDE 2026 program.
This year we introduce an important change to the submission process for the AEDE 2026 conference because we have removed the abstract submission stage. Authors must directly submit their final communication between February 1 and March 8, 2026.
The final communication may take two formats:
(1) a full paper, or
(2) an extended summary of at least 1,000 words, covering the following elements with sufficient detail: objectives, motivation, contribution relative to previous literature, data sources and database description, a well-justified methodological approach (including clear explanation of its adequacy for the research question), and preliminary results. Full papers will be prioritized during the review process.
