November 27, 2026, Berlin
Deadline for submissions: October 01, 2026
The one-day workshop provides young labor and education economists the chance to present and discuss their research. It provides a forum to meet and exchange with fellow doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and professors
from the field of labor and education economics. The workshop is targeted at PhD students and aims to facilitate exchange between junior and senior academics. This year, we are happy to announce that Silke Anger (Institute for
Employment Research (IAB)) and Kristof de Witte (KU Leuven) will be our excellent guest speakers at the workshop. This year’s winter workshop is supported by the DFG Research Unit Labor Market Transformation. We are looking forward to submissions from PhD students working on topics in labor economics and especially encourage submissions in the field of the
economics of education. Equally, we encourage the submission of work at an early stage. All projects presented at the BeNA workshop will be considered for the BeNA Innovative Research Award in the amount of €200.
The workshop will take place in the friendly atmosphere at Freie Universität Berlin on November 27, 2026.
If you want to present your work, please submit an abstract or a draft of your paper by October 01, 2026, to workshop@labor-research.net.
The decision on your submission will be communicated by October 15, 2026.
