Abstract: This research focuses on juvenile pathways in the pre-professionalization scheme offered in Bourgogne Franche-Comté since the start of the 2019 academic year to bachelor’s degree students intending to become secondary school teachers. The aim is to understand the ways in which students build pathways to academic success in what are known as “under-pressure” school disciplines, by discussing how young people are supported in their training. The project aims to understand the conditions and determinants of undergraduate students’ orientation towards the teaching profession, while suggesting possible explanations for their continued commitment to the teaching profession.
