Summary:

In a context where teenagers are massively informed via social networks, their ability to evaluate information is becoming a major educational issue. This thesis aims to define and model middle-schoolers’ critical thinking skills using qualitative and quantitative data. By mobilizing an interdisciplinary theoretical framework (education sciences and information and communication sciences), two main objectives guide this study: (1) to identify the skills specific to the exercise of critical thinking, and (2) to measure and model these skills.
