Thesis topic: The socio-history of co-education in Physical Education (1950–2000).

Thesis abstract:

This study analyses gender co-education in teaching practices within Physical Education from 1950 onwards. It does so through three perspectives: the institution (via inspection reports), teachers and pupils. We will seek to determine whether the construction of gender in this discipline is shaped by the perspective of essentialism or constructivism.
